Tuition, Semester schedule & Payment Due Dates
Monthly rates for weekly in-home lessons are:
30 minutes weekly/$230 monthly
45 minutes weekly/$310 monthly
60 minutes weekly/$390 monthly
Students can register at any time throughout the year, and tuition is prorated accordingly. During the September-June school year, we use flat-rate tuition: tuition is dividing in 10 monthly payments for ease and convenience. Each student receives 36 lessons across the September-June school year.
Summer scheduling
We strongly encourage year-round lessons! Music is a new language and without reinforcement, new technique, skills and vocab learned during the school year can be forgotten. Summer lessons (July/August) are billed as individual lessons, and tuition can be adjusted with at least 24 hours notice. If you wish to withdraw for summer and return in the fall, please let us know - we can coordinate pay-in-advance plans to hold your spot.

Payment Method and Due Dates
Invoices are sent out on the 1st of month, and payment is due by the 5th of the month. Payment can be made online, and we can set up autopay if you preffer. Payments not received by the 5th of the month will receive a courtesy email reminder; payments not received by the 7th will have a $10 late fee added. If you are unable to financially fulfill your commitment to lessons, we encourage advance notice and communication with our office.

Cancellations and Makeups
We understand that sometimes things come up, and happily offer makeup lessons assuming our office has at least 24 hours notice. No-shows and lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are not made up. Tuition is not refundable, transferable or credited. During the fall and spring semesters (September-June), there are no adjustments in tuition. If you've planned a vacation, lessons can be made up under our cancellation/makeup policies outlined above. Students must be actively enrolled in weekly lessons in order to schedule and use makeups.

Substitute Teachers
If a teacher is ill or otherwise unavailable to teach, the school will try to arrange one of our other teachers to substitute. If a substitute cannot be arranged, missed lessons will be rescheduled or credited.
Recitals
We believe performance experience is a valuable part of music education! We hold several optional recitals each year, and strongly encourage recital participation. Each recital has a $30 fee per participating student (or $50 per multi-student family), which covers venue rental and supplies. Details and invoices will be sent to participating families.
Inclement weather
In the event of snow or other inclement weather, we encourage safety. If you believe road conditions in your neighborhood are unsafe to come to lesson, let us know via email with as much notice as possible. If we feel roads in our neighborhood are unsafe, we will cancel via email and phone/text with as much notice as possible. In either case, a makeup lesson will be arranged.
Withdrawal
Enrollment is ongoing and unless we receive a minimum 30 day notification of withdrawal, we assume you will be continuing your musical journey with our studio. If less than 30 days notice is received, you will be charged for the following month's lessons. Your teacher cannot withdraw you; you must phone or email the office to request a withdrawal.
